American Recovery & Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Funds Accelerate Improvements to the I-70 Edwards Interchange

March 17, 2010 - Northwestern Colorado/CDOT Region 3 - EAGLE COUNTY - The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) and contractor American Civil Constructors, Inc. (ACC), have begun construction of the Edwards Interchange Improvements project at I-70, exit 163. This project, which will construct four interchange roundabouts, is funded by the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009.

I-70 Westbound Through Debeque Canyon Closed This Sunday for Bridge Work

March 16, 2010 - Northwestern Colorado/CDOT Region 3 - MESA COUNTY - This Sunday, March 21, a section of westbound I-70, from Exit 62 (at DeBeque) to Exit 49 (at SH 65) will be fully closed from 6 AM to 6 PM for bridge work at MP 58 (the east end of DeBeque Canyon).

March 15, 2010 - Northwestern Colorado/CDOT Region 3 - GLENWOOD SPRINGS – The Colorado Department of Transportation has announced that there has been a delay to the start of the second phase of the Grand Avenue Paving Project (GAPP II).

CDOT begins bridge repairs today on I-70 overpass at DeBeque

March 15, 2010- Colorado Department of Transportation Maintenance division has contracted GA Western to perform repairs at one of the abutments on the DeBeque overpass, which spans I-70 at exit 62. Northwestern Colorado/CDOT Region 3

CDOT Repairs Electrical Systems in Hanging Lake Tunnels on I-70 Glenwood Canyon

SH 92 American Recovery & Reinvestment Act Project Suspended Through Winter Months

January 14, 2010 - The Colorado Department of Transportation and contractor Tezak Heavy Equipment, Inc., will suspend construction for the winter on SH 92 in Delta County. This project, funded by the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act (ARRA), began on July 20, 2009; work will be suspended as of Monday, January 18, and will resume in April 2010 as weather permits. CDOT’s Maroon Creek Bridge Project in Aspen Wins National Award

January 12, 2010 - The Colorado Department of Transportation earned more national recognition for the SH 82 Maroon Creek Bridge replacement project, completed in 2008. The project has won a 2009 American Segmental Bridge Institute’s (ASBI) Bridge Award of Excellence. At its annual convention recently, ASBI awarded the owners of five projects nat ionwide for outstanding examples of segmental concrete bridge construction. Northwestern Colorado/CDOT Region 3
