Congratulations to the winners of the Driver’s Seat PSA Contest!
Thank you to all of the high school students across Colorado who participated in our Public Service Announcement (PSA) contest about the new cell phone law which is now in effect in Colorado. The law bans teens under age 18 from talking or text messaging on the phone while driving. It also prohibits those 18 and older from text messaging behind the wheel.
To help us get the word out about the new cell phone law, students from across the state teamed up to create print ads, radio spots and videos illustrating the dangers of distracted driving and underscoring the fact that cell phone use while driving is illegal. The winners were honored by Governor Ritter and members of the Teen Motor Vehicle Leadership Alliance at special events in Colorado Springs and Denver.
