Project Overview
On July 6, 2009, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), in partnership with
the City of Northglenn, will begin a bridge replacement project at I-25 and 104th Avenue. The project will replace the existing 104th Avenue bridge over I-25, which was originally constructed in 1962 and is one of Colorado's structurally deficient bridges. When complete, the new bridge will accommodate an additional left turn lane from eastbound 104th Avenue to northbound I-25. Hamon Contractors, Inc. the is contractor for this $6.5 million project scheduled to be complete by the end of September 2010.

104th Avenue: Motorists can expect single lane closures Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and double lane closures Sunday through Thursday from 10 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.

I-25: Motorists can expect single lane closures Sunday through Thursday from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. and double lane closures Sunday through Thursday from 10 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. There will also be several full closures of I-25 during bridge demolition, girder installation and deck panel installation. During this time, motorists will be detoured via the on and off-ramps at I-25 and 104th Avenue with uniformed traffic control on site to help move traffic through the work zone.
