RTD Park-n-Ride Lot Closure November 1st

Starting at 2 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1, the eastbound Westminster Center Park-n-Ride parking lot, located at Sheridan Boulevard and US 36, will be closed for repairs. All cars parked in the lot must be removed before the closure is in place. The parking lot will reopen at 2 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 2. RTD passengers will be directed to park at the RTD parking structure off of 88th Place, adjacent to the westbound RTD station. Riders can access the eastbound bus routes by using the pedestrian bridge that crosses over the highway. Eastbound bus boarding will not be impacted and will load at the existing loading station. South Boulder Creek Trail Closure November 17th-February 1st

The South Boulder Creek Trail will be closed on either side of US 36 during construction of the
US 36 Express Lanes Project. The trail between South Boulder Road and Marshall Road will
remain open, however, for the safety of the traveling public, access under US 36 will not be
allowed. This closure is necessary for the improvements being made to the South Boulder Creek
bridge.

Coal Creek Trail Closure June 2014 - September 2015

The Coal Creek Trail is closed between Dillon Road and McCaslin Boulevard through fall 2015, while crews construct a new concrete box culvert. Once the culvert is complete, the existing trail will be reestablished through the western portion of the culvert and reopened to the public. The detour utilizing Dillon Road, 88th Street, South Rock Creek Parkway, and McCaslin Boulevard will keep bicyclists safely outside of the construction zone. The detour can be found here and will be in place and signed appropriately.

Big Dry Creek Trail Closed Sept. 8, 2014 –November 2014

The Big Dry Creek Trail is closed at US 36 during construction of the US 36 Express Lanes project through November 2014 for pipe installation. The trail on both sides of US 36 will remain open, however, for the safety of the traveling public, access under US 36 will not be allowed.  The detour to 104th Avenue and Church Ranch Boulevard will be clearly marked. US 36 Traffic Impacts for the Week of October 26, 2014

On Saturday, Oct. 25, westbound US 36 will be closed at Church Ranch Boulevard to Wadsworth Parkway, 3-5 a.m., for equipment mobilization. Eastbound US 36 will remain open but will be reduced to one lane of travel during this time. The detour route will be clearly marked. RTD bus operations will not be impacted during this activity.

Expect westbound ramp closures nightly at Church Ranch Boulevard and Wadsworth Parkway for paving, 9 p.m.-5:30 a.m. No two consecutive ramps will be closed at the same time. The detour route will be clearly marked.

Pecos Street to Federal Boulevard

The Federal Boulevard on-ramp to eastbound US 36 will have a daytime single lane restriction, Oct. 27-31, 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m., for ramp meter installation. One lane will remain open at all times.

Federal to Church Ranch Boulevard

Westbound US 36 Single Lane Restrictions

Westbound US 36 will have single lane restrictions from Federal to Sheridan Boulevard, Oct. 27-31, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and 8 p.m.-5:30 a.m., for noise wall installation. One lane will remain open at all times.

Church Ranch Boulevard On- and Off-Ramp Lane Restrictions

The Church Ranch Boulevard on-ramp to eastbound US 36 and the eastbound US 36 off-ramp to Church Ranch Boulevard will have a single daytime lane restriction, Oct. 27-31, 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m., to complete curb and gutter, and install signs.

Westbound US 36 Off-Ramp to Church Ranch Boulevard Closure

The westbound US 36 off-ramp to Church Ranch Boulevard will be closed nightly, Oct. 27-Nov. 1, 9 p.m.- 5:30 a.m., for paving.  While this activity is taking place, traffic will be detoured to Wadsworth Parkway. RTD bus routes will not be impacted and flagged through the work zone.

Wadsworth Parkway to 88th Street

Westbound US 36 Off-Ramp to Wadsworth Parkway

The westbound US 36 off-ramp to Wadsworth Parkway will be closed Oct. 27- Nov. 1, 9 p.m.-5:30 a.m. , for paving. Traffic will follow the detour to East Interlocken or are advised to use an alternate route. Detour will be clearly marked. The Wadsworth ramp will not close during the closure of the Church Ranch Boulevard ramp.

Eastbound and Westbound US 36 (Wadsworth Parkway to McCaslin Boulevard) Delays

Expect up to 15-minute closures and delays on eastbound and westbound US 36, between Wadsworth Parkway and McCaslin Boulevard, Oct. 26-Nov. 1, midnight-4 a.m., for overhead sign structure installation. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and use alternate routes.

US 36 Single Lane Restrictions

Eastbound and westbound US 36 will have nightly single lane restrictions, Oct. 26- Nov. 1, 8 p.m.-5:30 a.m., from 88th Street to Church Ranch Boulevard. These lane restrictions are necessary for dirt and concrete hauling, paving, and barrier removal and placement.

88th Street to Foothills Parkway

US 36 Single Lane Restrictions

Eastbound and westbound US 36 will have nightly single lane restrictions from the 88th Street bridge to Foothills Parkway, Oct. 27-Nov. 1, 9 p.m.-5:30 a.m., for barrier removal and installation, and roadway excavation.

McCaslin Boulevard and Ramp Restrictions

The McCaslin interchange, including the on- and off-ramps, and McCaslin Boulevard between Dillon and Marshall Road, will have lane restrictions, Oct. 27-Nov. 1, 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. and 9 p.m.-5:30 a.m. One lane will remain open in each direction at all times. RTD operations will not be impacted.

Local Street Restrictions and Ongoing Closures

Turnpike Drive to the East of Lowell Boulevard Closure – Turnpike Drive, to the east of Lowell Boulevard, from Hooker Street to 76th Avenue, will continue to be closed to all traffic through Oct. 27 at 5 p.m., for man-hole installation in the roadway. This section will remain closed 24 hours a day until the operation is complete. The detour will be clearly marked.

Sheridan Boulevard Single Lane Restrictions – Northbound and southbound Sheridan Boulevard will have single lane restrictions from 92nd to 88th Street, Oct. 20-25, 8 p.m.-5:30 a.m.

East Turnpike Drive Closure For the safety of the traveling public, Turnpike Drive to the east and west of Lowell Boulevard is closed to all through traffic. This closure is necessary to construct the noise walls and relocate utilities on eastbound US 36. Flaggers will be on-site, and local traffic will be allowed through the work zone.

Upcoming Closures

The westbound US 36 off-ramp to McCaslin Boulevard will be closed starting at 9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8 through 5:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 10. Traffic will follow the detour route to Table Mesa Drive.  This closure is necessary for the construction and paving of the new McCaslin off-ramp.
