Active Construction Projects for State Highways

Folder 4th Street Bridge
The existing 4th St. Bridge, structure number K-18-Z, has a Sufficiency Rating of 24 out of 100 and has become structurally deficient and functionally obsolete. Improvements will be made to enhance safety for motorists and pedestrians through new bridge construction and approach roadway modifications. Roadway alignment and profile improvements, structure replacement, drainage design, lighting, and urban design are part of the final overall strategy. Keywords: Active Construction, State Highways

The Colorado Department of Transportation, in partnership with the City and County of Broomfield, proposes to extend 120th Avenue from Wadsworth Parkway, across U.S. 36 to approximately 120th Avenue and Teller Street, including an intersection with U.S. 287. Folder State Highway 9 Frisco to Breckenridge
The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is widening State Highway (SH 9) corridor from two to four lanes. This will increase safety and mobility of drivers, transit, pedestrians and bicyclists. Improvements have been steadily taking place since the SH 9 Environmental Impact Statement and Record of Decision have been signed by CDOT and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). Folder State Highway 13 at Rio Blanco Hill
Reconstructs five miles of SH 13 in asphalt, adds eight-foot shoulders and climbing and passing lanes. The improvements will enhance recreational bicycling in this area. Folder State Highway 88 (Arapahoe Rd) and I-25 Interchange
In August 2009, CDOT will begin a safety and capacity improvement project on Arapahoe Road between Yosemite Street and Boston/Clinton Street.
