About the Project

Scott Contracting, Inc. is contracted by the Colorado Department of Transportation to  resurface US 40 from just north of the 13th Street south to just past 3rd Street with concrete.  This is the most heavily traveled section of US 40 in Northwest Colorado and it is several years overdue for resurfacing; additionally, for improved pedestrian and mass transit safety, new features are being installed with this project.

CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE

Our typical work hours are from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with some overnight work to complete the 7th street work.

Our goal is to complete the project by June 30, 2010.

CDOT and Scott Contracting will be contacting land and business owners to coordinate highway access (driveway) work.  Motorists are urged to drive slowly through the work zones and maintain a safe following distance for the safety of other motorists and highway crews. We greatly appreciate your patience during this project.

You are invited to attend a Public Meeting about it on Thursday, March 25th at 5:30 at Centennial Hall Rms 113/114.  We'll have a brief explanation of the work being done, and offer ways to keep yourself informed throughout the project.

Representatives of CDOT, the City, and Scott Contracting, Inc. will also be on hand to answer questions from the press and public.

We look forward to seeing you there. In the meantime, feel free to call our project hotline if you should have any questions.
