Attention Vendors/Contractors and Consultants: New way of doing business with CDOT

The Colorado Department of Transportation is now using a vendor facing portal.

All vendors are now required to be registered with CDOT and most bidding/solicitation processes will be performed through the vendor facing portal, with the exception of highway construction bidding.

To do business with CDOT … click here for the initial registration and creating your CDOT Supplier Self-Service Portal account.

Once registered with CDOT … click here for the new CDOT Supplier Self-Service Portal to enter your Prequalification Questionnaire data and attachments.

Portal Work Instructions... click here for additional information and instructions on how to register, and prequalify on the CDOT Supplier Self Service-Portal.  Bids for Road and Bridge Construction projects will be solicited in hard copy or electronically via the Bid Express website.

CDOT will begin transitioning to the exclusive use of electronic bids for Design-Bid-Build construction projects.  Project advertisements after September 25, 2014 will contain a statement clarifying the applicability of this requirement.  In order to participate, affected contractors must have a Bid Express account.  The following timeline will be used for the transition to electronic bids:

October 1, 2014 - applicable to all projects with an Engineer's Estimate in excess of $5 million

January 1, 2015 - applicable to all projects with an Engineer's Estimate in excess of $1 million

March 1, 2015 - applicable to all projects

IMPORTANT:  Projects with innovative delivery methods, i.e. design-build, CM-CG, CSBV, etc., are not included in this electronic bidding requirement.
