Information for bidding on highway and bridge construction projects for the State of Colorado

Effective October 1, 2014, CDOT will begin transitioning to the exclusive use of electronic bids for Design-Bid-Build construction projects.  Project advertisements after October 1, 2014 will contain a statement clarifying the applicablity of this requirement.  In order to participate, affected contractors must have a Bid Express account.  The following timeline will be used for the transition to electronic bids:

October 1, 2014 - applicable to all projects with an Engineer's Estimate in excess of $5 million

January 1, 2015 - applicable to all projects with an Engineer's Estimate in excess of $1 million

March 1, 2015 - abblicable to all projects

IMPORTANT:  Projects with innovative delivery methods, ie. design-build, CM-CG, CSBV, etc., are not incuded in this electronic bidding requirement.
