CDOT’s environmental functions at headquarters are integrated within EPB, which is part of the Division of Transportation Development (DTD).  EPB is responsible for assisting the Transportation Commission, the Division of Transportation Engineering, and CDOT executive management in developing environmental policy, procedures, programmatic agreements, environmental data for use in the planning and project development process, and assisting the regions in environmental analyses.

  • Cultural Resources Section
  • Natural Resources Section
  • Environmental Policy and Planning Section

The Colorado Department of Transportation is dedicated to identifying and addressing environmental issues.  Reports on research related to environmental resources is available through the research web page .
