Be Alert – More Cyclists Riding Area Highways Saturday

August 30, 2010 - CUSTER/PUEBLO COUNTIES – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is advising drivers to be extra cautious if they are driving on State Highways 96 or 165 this weekend, due to the high number of bicyclists that are expected along both routes as part of a charity ride.

Ramp Closures at Main in Trinidad

August 26, 2010 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - TRINIDAD – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is closing two ramps at Main Street over the next couple of weeks so Main can be paved under Interstate 25.

4th Street Bridge State Fair Advisory

August 26, 2010 - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - PUEBLO – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is asking drivers to avoid using the 6th Street Exit from Interstate 25 to get to the State Fair, due to construction on the 4th Street Bridge (State Highway 96).

Powers Boulevard Paving/Signal Project

August 25, 2010 - PROJECT UPDATE - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - EL PASO COUNTY – Paving operations over the next several days will impact traffic on Powers Boulevard (State Highway 21) between Bradley Road and Milton E. Proby Parkway.

Public Invited to Bridge Replacement Meetings

August 24, 2010 - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - TELLER/EL PASO COUNTIES – The public is invited to attend Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) open houses regarding a couple of upcoming bridge replacement projects in Woodland Park and Cascade.

Highway Maintenance Project in Holly Next Week

August 20, 2010 - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - On Monday, August 23, and Tuesday, August 24, pilot cars and flaggers will alternate one lane of traffic from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. at various locations on U.S. 50, beginning just west of Holly, continuing through the town of Holly (Colorado Street), and east approximately four miles (mile 461.5 - 467). Delays up to 15 minutes should be expected.

Upcoming Ramp Opening and Closure on I-25 in Trinidad

August 19, 2010 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - TRINIDAD – The ramp from southbound Interstate 25 to East Colorado Avenue (Exit 14B) reopens to traffic tomorrow (Friday, August 20). However, the ramp from East Colorado Avenue to southbound I-25 will remain closed until further notice.

Surface Maintenance on Highway 96 Next Week

August 11, 2010 - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - CROWLEY COUNTY – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is chip sealing State Highway (SH) 96 in the Olney Springs area next week.

Short closure of U.S. 24 in Manitou Springs tomorrow

August 10, 2010 - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - MANITOU SPRINGS – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is closing U.S. 24 for a short period tomorrow for rock removal near the entrance to the Cave of the Winds.

Traffic stops west of Divide

August 2, 2010 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - TELLER COUNTY – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will be stopping traffic on U.S. 24 between Divide and Florissant tomorrow (Tuesday, August 3) for bridge repairs.

Temporary Closure of Colorado Ave. Ramps RESCHEDULED

July 23, 2010 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - TRINIDAD – The scheduled closure of the two Colorado Avenue ramps at Interstate 25 (Exit 14B) has been postponed for one week. Both ramps were scheduled to close for about three weeks, beginning Monday.

Intersection/Ramp Project Starts Next Week

July 23, 2010 - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - PUEBLO – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) begins reconstructing the Santa Fe Avenue/Ilex Street intersection on Monday, July 26.

July 22, 2010 - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - EL PASO/DOUGLAS COUNTIES – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will be chip sealing three highway segments in the Pikes Peak region next week.

Temporary Closure of Colorado Ave. Ramps at I-25

July 22, 2010 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - TRINIDAD – Two ramps will be closed at Colorado Avenue (Exit 14B) for several days as part of the Colorado Department of Transportation’s Interstate 25 highway reconstruction project through Trinidad.

US 40/287 Project Begins

July 21, 2010 - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - LINCOLN COUNTY – Work is underway on a 10 mile reconstruction of U.S. 40/287, east of Hugo.

I-25 Paving Through Pueblo Set to Start
