Work Zone Poster Contest Winners

In June 2012, CDOT held a poster contest for all children and grandchildren of CDOT employees to develop posters to promote work zone safety and help educate motorists on why work zone safety is important. The contest was open to children and grandchildren 17 years old or younger. The posters were judged on creativity, reflection of the work zone safety theme, and the use of color. There were some wonderful posters and tough competition. Thank you to all who participated:

6-8 Years Old

Cecilia Volk, 6, is the daughter of Rebecca White who is a local liaison for CDOT's Policy and Government Relations Office.

9-11 Years Old

Derek Gonser, 11, is the son of Steve Gonser who works for Region 4 in the North Program out of Evans.

12-14 Years Old

Elizabeth Eike, 12, is the daughter of Mark Eike who is the Deputy Superintendent in Craig.

15-17 Years Old

Ashland Ledesma, 16, is the daughter of Phillip Ledesma from Region 6 Maintenance.
