US 24 West
This multi-year journey started in the fall of 2004. Your participation and interest are welcomed and encouraged. Please read on and check out the FAQ's and the project description. Contact Us with any questions or comments along the way as together we shape the future for this important Corridor in our community. The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) assembled a team to study short- and long-term strategies to address capacity issues on the US 24 West corridor from Manitou Springs to I-25. The team consists of CDOT, FHWA, and the consulting firms of CH2M HILL and Wilson & Company. The team is conducting an Environmental Assessment (EA) to explore all reasonable and feasible solutions to address future transportation needs in the corridor. The team is working closely with cities, El Paso County and other stakeholders to ensure that all voices are heard. Outreach efforts include small group meetings, open houses, workshops, newsletters and this Web site. To make sure your voice is heard Contact Us.
